RYA Cruising Level 1 - Start Yacht Sailing

The syllabus includes personal safety, slipping and coming alongside, sailing theory, yacht handling under sail and basic safety at sea.

By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of yacht handling under sail as well as the relevant background knowledge. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this short introduction with the Basic Skills Course.

2 day course, starting at 0830 and finishing around 1730 each day

Cost: £300 members £350 non-members (£100 deposit required)

Minimum age: 18yrs

Waterproofs

Lifejacket

Notebook and pen

Base of operations, Exe Sailing Club, max ratio of 1 instructor to 4 students.
