Volunteer for WSC Discover Sailing Day
Thank you for volunteering to assist at the WSC Discover Sailing Day (also known as open day). As
The fantastic news is that we have had AN amazing response with nearly 300 people registering (we closed registrations a few weeks ago). We think this reflects a huge interest
We would like to get volunteers for the following roles:
ON WATER
- Helming a pacer or mirror to take community members for a short sail. (16 competent helms each sailing for one hour each)
- Marshalling people on and off craft from the pontoon (8 people each person for one hour each)
- Driving a large rib with 8 community members out to Shark Island and back again - allowing a stop for a photo with the bridge in the backgroud.(4 people each person for one hour each)
OFF WATER
- Face Painting (you know you want to!) (4 people each person for one hour each)
- Rig and show off your boat in the triangle! Stan will coordinate to ensure only one of each boat.
- Life jackets: distribute and collect from people going for boat rides (8 people each person for one hour each)
- General crowd management and answering questions (anyone!)
- Help in the cafe (8 people each person for one hour each)
