RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) - Course 1: Theory 1/2

POWER BOAT LEVEL 2
This course consists of 4 sessions: Two practical on water and two classroom theory sessions
The course will give you the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat or RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.
Dates:
- Theory 1 - 1st May
- Practical 1 - 5th May
- Theory 2 - 8th May
- Practical 2 - 12th May
Criteria:
This course is open to members only
Trainees must be at least 16 years of age (possibly younger if the course instructor is happy that the trainee already has appropriate boating experience).
There are safety implications to the course which require a level of personal responsibility, awareness and maturity. It is the responsibility of the course instructor to decide whether a trainee is suitable to start or continue the course.
It is essential to familiarise yourself with the Powerboat Training Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), which will be provided during the first theory session and can be found in the members area of the website.
