AMENDMENTS TO NOTICE OF RACE

NoR 7.7 is amended to read:
7.7 Racing for the Optimist fleets will be around fixed racing marks and/or inflatable buoys in Cutmill, starting from the committee boat 'Blue Minty'.
NoR 7.8 is amended to read:
7.8 Courses will be displayed on the committee boats. Course charts form part of the SI and can be viewed on the BSC website and are available in the club office. The courses for the Optimist racing will be explained at the briefing.
Open to all cadet sailors in the harbour!!
Regatta for all sailors from Chichester Harbour clubs aged under 19 on 25th May 2024. There will be up to three races for Optimist (gold and silver fleets), Topper (5.3 and 4.2 rigs), Mirror, RS Feva, ILCA/Laser (all rigs) and 420.
Optimists will launch from Bosham and race from the Cobnor line. Other classes will race from a committee boat in the main harbour. Visitors from harbour clubs may sign in on the water, but must be accompanied to and from the race area by safety boats from their club.
- The event is open to all cadets, including non-BSC members from other harbour clubs.
- Pre-entry will be required under 'Tickets' below. Entries close 09:00 Sat 25th May.
- All races count as Bosham Junior Week qualifiers.
- Notice of race and sailing instructions will be available under 'Downloads' below.
- Notices to competitors will be posted on this page and communicated via the BSC Junior Regatta WhatsApp group. Join here.
- Food will be on site at the club (payable separately) after racing until the family disco starts at 19:30. Disco open to all ages, adults and children (no need to book).
Timings:
1150: All to be rigged and ready. Welcome by RC Cadets.
1200: Optimist briefing on terrace.
All committee boat fleets to launch: 420s, Lasers, Fevas, Toppers, Mirrors.
1230: Optimists to launch. Silver Oppies must fly a streamer from the top of the sprit.
1255: Committee boat fleets - first warning signal not before 12:55.
1255: Optimists - first warning signal once all boats are at Cobnor, but not before 12:55.
1600 - 1900: Food van on terrace serving hog roast etc (paid for separately)
1800: Prizegiving
1930 - 2300: Family Disco
