Rutland Sailing Club is proud to invite all marks of Challengers but the maximum sail area shall be limited to 7.9 square metres (equivalent to the Una-rig sail). i.e. Mk3 boats shall furl jibs

Entry

Entry is to be made online.

Anyone struggling to enter the event via the online system is to contact the Club.

All participating helms shall be members of their relevant Class Association, either; 1)- the 2.4mR National or International Class Associations, 2)- the Challenger Class Association

- 2.4mR competitors enter as a single fleet

- Challenger competitors may choose to enter one of the categories below:

Standard All Competitors, able-bodied or with disabilities, who are capable of sailing solo for the whole of an event. If Medal Races are not run, Standard Fleet competitors may be divided into:

Gold: Able-bodied. Experienced racers with disabilities. 3 or more previous Silver wins

Silver: Less experienced racers with disabilities that limit boat handling and performance

Syndicate for sailors with a disability who:

Share the boat during a regatta. Each individual must sign the entry form and compete in at least one race but not in more than 50% of the programmed races.

The cumulative score for the boat will determine the series score of the Syndicate and all members will share the prize. Unless Medal Races are used, they will sail in the Silver Fleet.

Bronze for sailors with a disability who:

All carry a mandatory buddy on board whilst racing. This Fleet is limited to sailors who are; very inexperienced or have never raced before, visually impaired, unable to operate all controls without help due to mobility or strength issues. sailors with learning difficulties.

Venue

The event will be held at Rutland Sailing Club, Gibbet Lane, Edith Weston, Oakham, Rutland. LE15 8HJ.

Telephone: 01780 720292 (Office closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Visiting boats can arrive from Thursday Septmeber 9th. Please note, the main gates will close when the bar shuts, this will depend on the number of people in the Clubhouse.

Boat trailers are to be moved to hedge line at the back of the Car Park.

Information for Visiting Sailors

Set Satnav to: LE15 8HJ or coordinates: 52.639561, -0.640314 (or 52°38'22.6N 0°38'25.6W).

Please ensure that boats conform to the Check, Clean & Dry Procedure for visiting ribs, dinghies & cruisers. Random checks will be made on visiting boats.

Dogs are allowed in the main car park only and must be on a short lead at all times.

Accommodation is available at the Club and in the surrounding area.

There is a campsite opposite the Club (this is not owned by RSC). The campsite is open from mid March until the end of October (weather permitting).

Please note that campervans and motorhomes are not permitted to stay overnight at the Sailing Club.

Children must not be left unsupervised on the site.

Catering will be available at the Club throughout the weekend.
